House Refurbishment I did with my Father

Toilet Redesign for a work-space in Moorgate/Old Street. What a pig of a job in the steaming heat of summer 2018 indoors no windows no aircon no vents at all.

Its a Toilet. I did all the work except the plumbing. I had a bit of help but it was the kind of help that goes wrong later! It wasn't my job I was called in....

Do you like my cabinet? One days work, door cut from frame, same board.

Why our Projects Succeed (more backstory)
One of the reasons to choose our service is our long history in the domestic construction industry. The proprietor, Tom Rutland, grew in the trade alongside traditional skilled workers, from every trade. His Father, Malcolm ran a company called Emperor Construction.

Malcolm and Tom worked together on a number of extensions, renovations and loft conversions in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. Coming up through the ranks as a laborer, skilled laborer, dry liner, builder, plasterer and carpenter; this skill-set was crowned by working as a maintenance man for several landlords in North London.
Over time and with experience basic plumbing, basic electrical work, painting and decorating, damp resolution, all became part of Elephant Handyman Service repetoire.

Speaking as myself, Tom Rutland, I learned three important business practices from my father. Never compromise your standard of work, don't leave a job unfinished, and always respect the customer's environment. These tenets provided a solid basis for a good reputation to grow.

People often ask me "why Elephant?". The origins of the name are in Bow, London. With other members of the community we held a warehouse there, where Tom at one point built speaker boxes and received several commissions to build unusual Items of furniture. The furniture was all constructed from old reclaimed timber, mostly pine scaffold boards, and wooden articles like barrels. we acquired some fresh lumber and one piece stood up on its own weight with a curve resembling an elephant's foot. Add to that a general love and respect for these animals within the family, especially Tom's Mother who loved elephants. We called the little furniture venture, Elephant Furniture. I transferred the brand to Elephant Handyman Service. Really we are three services, with Elephant Carpentry being the third.
