I found a big hiole in the floor, that the previous tiler had filled with adhesive. I had to make good with ply and expanding foam. See it at the top of the picture.

Hinge installation
Hinge installation

Setting the hinges on the door, it's a lot easier with a door support that holds the door on its edge. Alternatively use clamps clamped onto the edge seated on the floor, or jam the top/bottom of door into the corner of the room, old school style.

Nice hinge cutting, using a mini router. Pre drill the holes, carefully centered.

The Hole!

Approximately one sq meter large hole ripped open by the plumber; who was looking for a leak from the upstairs bathroom. Nice work mate, could you have been any more barbaric?

Kerfed Skirting:

This is the room I had to skirt, with two kerfed sections into a bay window!

It may be MDF, but it's a nice skirting. Plus there is lots of advantages to working with it.

Rising Damp Resolution:

After damp assessment has been carried out, plaster must be removed to specified height, normally 1mtr for rising damp.

Sash Window Maintenance:

Remove the Bead 00
Remove the Bead 00

In order to remove the bead, cut away paint and glue/caulk (if any) from the join. Prize open the join using a chisel or similar, until a larger object can be used to attain leverage.

Called to a schedule of works on an 'unusual' flat. The primary concern was a leak that was causing damage downstairs.

This job came through the agent, I had to insulate the ceiling of a studio flat to make the place meet regulations. Everything was looking sooo simple, using this fantastic thermal board to save time and mess.
